Janette desigined a series of five CPD days supported by school-based workshops and mentoring to help teachers to become more confident about leading singing in their schools.
Cathedral Outreach Programme
Janette is part of the three-person team delivering the Chelmsford Cathedral Outreach Programme working with teachers from schools in and around Chelmsford.
Essex Music Services
During the last five years Janette has delivered singing workshops during term time to over 15,000 young people in Essex schools. Workshops can be designed to help to demonstrate repertoire, singing leadership skills and to address specific concerns or areas for development with the music co-ordinator, class teachers and teaching assisitants.

Large-scale Group Singing Events
Janette has led large-scale choral events with over 300 children in Clacton (2004, 2005 and 2006), Harlow (2007). In June 2009 Janette will be directing three performances of her cantata Swallow Tale involving nearly 500 children from primary schools in Basildon.
RNIB Musical Menagerie
Janette was invited to lead a day of singing workshops at London's Wigmore Hall
for the Royal National Institute for the Blind. The day was devoted to working with blind and partially sighted children.

Sing Up

Janette led CPD training at the Cambridge UniversityFaculty of Education for secondary school music teachers on Sing Up and the implications for secondary school teachers.
Janette has devised and led workshops under the Sing Up umbrella in Essex and Norfolk . Recently these have involved working wth staff at Northlands Infant School in Pitsea and Sandon secondary school near Chelmsford.
Harlow Chorus Sing Out!
Janette devised a one-day workshop (2006) and a series of six follow-up sessions (2007) for Harlow Chorus designed to get adults back into singing with a view to developing both the confidence and the competence to pass an audition to join the choir. This course proved highly popular and several singers passed the audition and went on to join the choir.
Janette was invited to run a second series of Sing Out! workshops: a one-day workshop in September 2008 followed by a series of eight workshops in 2009.
Building on the success of these events, Harlow Chorus has invited Janette to become the Musical Director of their new adult training choir programme, Harlow Chorus Academy, which started on November 2nd 2009.
