Illumination
The choir was formed in 2006 by the composer Miriam Mackie to perform music by living composers alongside established repertoire from the high renaissance and early baroque periods.
London concert venues have included St James's Piccadilly, St Giles-in-the Fields and the Unitarian Chapel Hampstead. The group has also been invited to perform in rural Oxfordshire. In July 2011 Illumination performed abroad for the first time with three concerts in Italy.
Membership of the group
- Rehearsals take place in a six week period leading up to the concert.
- Membership fees are payable on a concert-by-concert basis.
